Who’s This Rach Taylor Chick Anyway?

life and career coach, life coach perth

Thinking About Coaching? Let’s Talk Fit.

If you’re here, chances are you’re considering coaching and wondering, Is this Rach chick the right coach for me? Smart move—coaching is personal, and finding the right fit makes all the difference. You need someone who gets you, challenges you, and brings the right mix of energy, honesty, and expertise to help you move forward.

So, let’s cut through the fluff, and dive a bit deeper than the “about me” page. This is more about who I am, what makes me tick, and may help you assess whether we’d make a killer team.

(P.S. If you want to know more about my core values and how they shape my coaching, check out this post.)

Some Things That Rock My Socks Off…

Saltwater, bare feet, and sunshine. Doing what I love most with the people I love (my sons, my mates, my family). Dopamine and adrenaline-fueled adventures—think snowboarding, spontaneous travel, sauna, ice bath, or anything that goes fast or defies gravity. A bloody good coffee (non-negotiable). A sweaty strength session, cutting shapes on the dance floor, zen’ing out on my yoga mat, or boxing up a storm. Zipping around town on my gravel or road bike. A podcast and book addict (the ‘to read’ pile next to my bed is out of control), a music lover, and a sucker for a solid renovation project. You might even catch me DJing at a mate’s party or dancing and belting out the words in the front row at a live gig.

These things fuel my energy, and that energy? That’s what I bring to my coaching.

My Strengths as a Coach

If we work together, you’ll get the full force of my top strengths—this isn’t just theory, this is how I show up:

  • Humour – I bring lightness and perspective. Coaching can be deep work, but that doesn’t mean it has to be heavy all the time. Expect some straight-up laughs alongside the insights.
  • Perspective – I don’t just focus on the problem in front of you—I help you zoom out, see the patterns, and understand the bigger picture. This is how we create lasting change.
  • Honesty – No sugar-coating here. I say what needs to be said, with care, but with absolute clarity. If you want someone who won’t let you off the hook, I’m your person.
  • Hope – I genuinely believe things can get better, and I hold that belief for you even when you don’t. My coaching is about possibility, growth, and making real shifts.
  • Bravery – Change takes courage, and I help my clients find it. Whether it’s making bold career moves, setting boundaries, or stepping into something unknown, I’ll be in your corner pushing you forward.

What Does My Daily Routine Look Like?

Let’s be real – life wasn’t always this balanced (’cause = children). But these days, my mornings are pretty sacred. I kick off the day with movement and nature, always. It might be yoga, breathwork, boxing with my PT, a chilly ocean dip, or lifting heavy in the gym. Then, coffee (non-negotiable) and sunshine. From there, it’s coaching, writing, and diving into work I love—helping clients navigate transitions, step into new chapters, and grow in ways they didn’t think possible.

How Would I Define My Lifestyle?

Active. Adventurous. But also grounded. I love pushing limits—whether that’s on a bike, in a new country, or in my own growth. But I equally value deep connection, good conversations, and quiet moments in nature. My life is built around freedom, well-being, and relationships that matter. And that’s what I help my clients build too—lives that feel aligned, energised, and fulfilling.

When Do I Feel Most Alive?

When I’m outdoors. Ocean swims, hiking in the bush, or up in the mountains where the air is thin and the distractions are gone. When I’m sharing food and stories with the people I love, dancing at a live gig (ideally barefoot and outside), or deep in a coaching conversation that sparks real change. That’s what fuels me.

Where Do I Want to Travel Next?

Short answer? Everywhere. I’ve got a soft spot for Indonesia and go back as often as I can, but I’ve got my sights set on South America, Africa, and trekking in the Himalayas. The Camino de Santiago in Spain is calling, and I plan to eat my way through Peru, Vietnam, and Japan. Travel, for me, is about connection, culture, adventure, and deep introspection—just like the journeys I help my clients navigate.

Where Do I See Myself in Three Years?

More freedom, more adventure, and a coaching practice that’s thriving. My sons will be older, almost adults, which means even more space to focus on what truly energises me. I see myself working with incredible, driven clients – people who are ready to create real, lasting change. I’ll be helping them shift gears, step into their next chapter, and build lives that light them up. That’s the goal.
